Replace GSU Transformers at Trinity River Division
Background
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is conducting market research for a construction contract to supply and install nine (9) single-phase, outdoor, step-up transformers with specific characteristics. The principal components of work include supplying, removing, disposing, installing, and commissioning three (3) Generator Step-Up (GSU) power transformers for in-service operation at each power plant. This involves modifying existing isolated phase bus for connections to new transformers and furnishing and installing seismic anchorage systems for new transformers.
Interested parties are required to provide business information, a positive statement of intention to submit an offer/bid as a prime contractor, description of transformer manufacturer capabilities, location of transformer manufacturing facility, approximate lead time for manufacturing and delivering transformers, and bonding capacity on a single-job.

Period of Performance
The period of performance involves installation over three different outage periods each separated by one year, with the work located at Spring Creek Powerplant approximately 6 miles northwest of Redding, CA; Judge Francis Carr Powerplant approximately 12 miles northwest of Redding, CA; and Trinity Powerplant approximately 30 miles northwest of Redding, CA.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Spring Creek Powerplant in Shasta County; Judge Francis Carr Powerplant in Shasta County; and Trinity Powerplant in Trinity County.
