Description

The contractor will provide all labor, material, equipment, tools, supervision and transportation to test and repair underground storage tanks, installation of monitoring wells, replacement of man way gasket, tank tightness test, monthly monitoring of sumps and monitoring wells, MDEQ Inspection Requirements, and state report completion in accordance with the following Federal, State, and local regulations. The contractor shall complete the required Mississippi State forms for certifications of the all testing, inspection, monitoring, and repairs. Upon completion of the work, monitoring, repair, and inspections; the contractor shall submit the certification of all work, repair, and inspection data to the Base Environmental Office within one week of completion. A copy of the certificates will also be provided to the contracting officer. The contractor shall submit final reports to the Base Environmental Office and FEAD Contracting Officer within one week of work completion. Along with the final report submission, deficiencies that result from the testing will be documented and submitted to the contracting officer and Environmental Office.The contractor shall conduct underground storage tank work to comply with Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) UST Program Requirements amended October 1, 2008 or Current Version. All work must be completed by a Mississippi State Certified Contractor with the Under Storage Tank Program as per reference Title 11 Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, Part 5-MDEQ UST Regulation. The contractor shall test automatic tank gauge monitoring, automatic line leak detection systems, overfill protection, spill bucket, shear valve, and electronic interstitial monitoring on tanks listed in Appendix A. The contractor shall use the procedures approved by Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality listed in Appendix B through Appendix H for underground storage tank testing. All work is located at Naval Air Station, Meridian MS and work will be in accordance with contract specifications.
