Background
The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Region 10 - California-Great Basin Region Acquisitions Office, Sacramento, CA intends to issue a solicitation for a large construction project, Trinity River Division GSU Transformer Replacement. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is posting a synopsis for a construction contract to supply and install nine (9) single-phase, outdoor, step-up transformers with specific characteristics. The estimated cost of this project is between $35 Million and $50 Million.

Work Details
The principal components of work include supplying, removing, disposing, installing, and commissioning three (3) Generator Step-Up (GSU) power transformers for in-service operation at each power plant. This involves tasks such as modifying existing isolated phase bus for connections to new transformers and furnishing and installing seismic anchorage systems for new transformers.

Period of Performance
The performance period is estimated to be 2920 calendar days to complete. Installation will occur over three different outage periods each separated by one year, one bank of three per outage period.

Place of Performance
The place of performance is located at Spring Creek Powerplant approximately 6 miles northwest of Redding, CA, in Shasta County; at Judge Francis Carr Powerplant approximately 12 miles northwest of Redding, CA, in Shasta County; and at Trinity Powerplant approximately 30 miles northwest of Redding, CA, in Trinity County.
