Background
The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Region 10 - California-Great Basin Region is issuing a solicitation for Phase II of the B.F. Sisk Dam Safety of Dams (SOD) Modifications project. This project aims to enhance the safety and structural integrity of the dam, which is critical for flood control and water resource management in the region.

The estimated cost of this project is between $250 Million and $500 Million.

Work Details
The principal components of work include:

1. Constructing a shear key at Slopewash (SW)165.
2. Constructing berms and internal drainage zones at various locations along the dam including SW165, North Valley Section (NVS), and South Valley Section (SVS).
3. Developing Basalt Hill Quarry and Borrow Areas 6, 12, 14, 20, and 21 to provide necessary materials for the contract.
4. Providing infrastructure for transporting materials and constructing an SH-152 undercrossing for accessing Borrow Area 6.
5. Installing toe drains and weir boxes at SW165.
6. Installing new instrumentation while abandoning or protecting existing instrumentation.

Period of Performance
The performance period for this contract is estimated to be three (3) years.

Place of Performance
The place of performance is located approximately twelve (12) miles west of Los Banos, California in Merced County.
