Project 243900 Replace HVAC system at Harpers Ferry

Background
The National Park Service, US Department of Interior, National Contracts Region, Washington D.C. is seeking information from interested vendors and parties in the market survey for the project titled 'HAFE 243900 Replace HVAC system at Harpers Ferry National Park Visitor Center, Bookstore, Exhibits and Restrooms, BLDG 43, 44, 45.' The project involves the demolition, removal, disposal, and replacement of the existing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in Buildings 43, 44 and 45 located at Harpers Ferry National Park. The contractor is required to possess demonstrated experience in the renovation and preservation of historic structures and protect museum content during construction.

Work Details
The work involves providing all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, supervision, ancillary services, and any other items necessary to deliver demolition, removal, disposal and replacement of the existing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This includes associated electrical and structural work to accommodate the HVAC systems removal and replacement IAW with project specifications.
Building 43 and 44 systems are forced air systems and upgrades generally involve incremental replacement and upgrade of the existing system equipment components. Building 45 system upgrades involve replacement of the existing fan coil units and heat pump system with an air-cooled variable refrigerant flow (VRF) and split heat pump system. HVAC work also includes removal, cleaning, and disposal of the fuel oil storage tank used for storing fuel oil for the existing heating water boiler that will be taken out of service as part of this project. Electrical upgrades generally involve replacement and reconfiguration of the primary electrical service panels. Structural work includes penetrations in Buildings 43, 44, and 45 for new mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment piping, steel supports for new mechanical equipment in Building 44, and installation of a new chain link fence along the rear porch of Building 45 to provide rock protection for the new HVAC equipment and repairs to the rear deck.
