Description

The purposes of this project is to rehabilitate and replace concrete seawalls, new concrete sidewalk construction, and installation of new storm water drainage system including lift station, pumps and controls.
Background
The National Park Service (NPS), part of the Department of Interior (DOI), is initiating a project to restore the North and South Seawalls at Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial. This project aims to safeguard the site and enhance its infrastructure, specifically focusing on seawall rehabilitation and stormwater management improvements.

Work Details
The project involves the rehabilitation and replacement of approximately 1,900 feet of the North Seawall and 1,500 feet of the South Seawall. Key tasks include:

- Demolition and replacement of the North Seawall's center section.
- Raising the elevation of existing wall sections.
- Performing repairs on structures that will remain.
- Extending the South Seawall along Delaware Avenue.

Additionally, new concrete sidewalks will be constructed alongside both seawalls. The stormwater system will be upgraded with a packaged pump system, installation of additional catch basins and pipes, flap gates at seawall outlets, and site regrading to improve drainage.
