NJ-Edwin Forsythe NWR Reroof Bunkhouse

Background
The contract is issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) for the purpose of reroofing the Bunkhouse Building located at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in New Jersey.

The mission of the FWS is to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. This contract aims to ensure that the bunkhouse building is properly maintained and protected from environmental elements through a new roofing system.

Work Details
The contractor is required to perform the following tasks:
1. Reroof the bunkhouse building with asphalt shingles over an area measuring approximately 2,200 square feet.
2. Remove existing roofing materials and dispose of them off-site.
3. Remove and reinstall existing gutters and downspouts during roofing replacement.
4. Remove existing solar panels and rails without reinstalling them, placing them near the house for future government use.

The work must comply with all federal, state, and local safety regulations including OSHA requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from March 31, 2026, to September 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at E.B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge located at 729 Lily Lake Road, Oceanville, NJ 08231.
