Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for HVAC upgrades at Mammoth Cave National Park in Mammoth Cave, KY. The purpose of this contract is to replace aging HVAC systems that have reached or exceeded their expected service life with modern, energy-efficient systems to improve reliability, indoor air quality, and temperature control.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the removal and replacement of eighteen (18) HVAC systems located in eleven (11) buildings at Mammoth Cave National Park. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and transportation necessary for the completion of the project. The contractor must adhere to the Statement of Work included as Attachment 0001 and comply with Davis Bacon prevailing wage requirements for Edmonson County, KY. The project magnitude is estimated between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from July 15, 2026 to July 14, 2028.

Mammoth Cave National Park, Mammoth Cave, KY.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide performance and payment bonds at 100% of the contract price within ten (10) business days after receiving the award. A certificate of insurance is required with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person; $500,000 per occurrence; and $1,000,000 per property within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of the award.
