Grand Coulee Nathaniel Washington Power Plant G23

Background
The Bureau of Reclamation, part of the United States Department of the Interior, is conducting market research for a firm fixed price contract for the Grand Coulee Nathaniel Washington Power Plant – G23 Stator Repair Columbia Basin Project in Washington. The goal is to identify qualified contractors capable of performing necessary repairs on Generator 23 (G23) at the Nathaniel Washington Power Plant, located near Grand Coulee Dam, approximately 90 miles west of Spokane, Washington.

Work Details
The principal components of work include:

a. Replacement of one damaged stator bottom bar in Generator 23 (G23).

b. Removal and replacement of top bars for access to the damaged bottom bar. The contractor will be responsible for providing labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete these tasks as outlined in the project specifications and drawings, which are not available at this time.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance will begin on the actual contract award date and run for a term of 210 days. This includes 120 days for pre-mobilization submittals, 90 days for on-site work, and 30 days for post-construction activities.

Place of Performance
Nathaniel Washington Power Plant near Grand Coulee Dam, adjacent to the Cities of Grand Coulee and Coulee Dam, Washington.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate capability by providing:

1. Statement of interest as a prime and/or subcontractor.

2. Construction bonding level, aggregate and per contract.

3. Firm’s capability to manage complex requirements.

4. Past performance/experience with recent projects similar in size and scope within the last 5-8 years.
