Background
The United States Department of the Interior, National Park Service, is seeking market research for the rehabilitation of the China Beach Bath House and Terrace at Golden Gate National Recreation Area in San Francisco, California. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge regarding the type of interested businesses and their qualifications. The NPS anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement.

Work Details
The project involves rehabilitating the China Beach Bathhouse and its associated site work to accommodate the Ocean Rescue program and provide visitor services. This includes interior watercraft storage, locker rooms, bathrooms, equipment storage and workshop, decontamination fixtures, administrative office, and break room for the Ocean Rescue program. The public program includes public bathrooms accessible from the exterior, public exterior showers, picnic area, visitor amenities, and rehabilitation of the original observation deck.

The rehabilitation would be done following the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation with a goal of achieving LEED Gold. Interested businesses are required to submit company information, business type classification, bonding capacity statement, experience and capability on similar projects, and existing marketing materials.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is 18 months including any potential weather shutdown. Winter construction will be required.

The project is located at Golden Gate National Recreation Area in San Francisco, California.
