The project entails repairing the water-repelling capability of a section of the Fort Tompkins earthen-filled roof located within the Staten Island Unit at Gateway National Recreation Area.

The work addresses ongoing water infiltration issues evidenced by efflorescence on the underside of masonry vaulted ceilings and deterioration of masonry materials.

The construction magnitude for this project is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
