EROS O&M Services 6-Month Extension

Background
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for a six-month contract for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Services at the Earth Resources and Observation Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

DCT, Inc. is the current provider of these services, and the existing contract is set to expire on March 31, 2026. A recompete for a five-year contract is underway but has been delayed due to unanticipated circumstances such as staffing shortages and lapses in appropriations. This bridge contract is essential to prevent any gap in critical services during the transition period required for the new contract.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Services necessary for the continued operation of the EROS Center. The nature of this work requires specialized skills that cannot be fulfilled by federal staff or off-the-shelf solutions.

The tasks include maintaining operational capabilities at the center, ensuring that all systems function correctly, and providing site logistics support. The urgency of this requirement necessitates limiting competition to DCT, Inc., as they are uniquely qualified to fulfill these needs without interruption.

Period of Performance
The total anticipated period of performance will be from April 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026.
