Background

Work Details
The purpose of this contract is to rehabilitate the East Potomac Maintenance Yard Fuel Station in Washington, DC. The scope of work includes underground fuel system demolition and decommissioning, geotechnical investigation for possible soil contamination, contaminated soil remediation, installation of above-ground horizontal fuel storage tanks and disbursing systems, utility work, canopy removal and replacement, removal of fuel attendant building and replacement with a fuel control building, and renovation of existing maintenance system.

The contract also involves construction tasks such as foundations, superstructure, exterior enclosure, roofing, interior construction, interior finishes, plumbing systems, HVAC, electrical work, selective building demolition, site preparation, site improvements, site mechanical utilities, contaminated soil remediation (optional line item), site electrical utilities, other site construction, and general requirements.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from September 5th, 2022 to October 27th, 2023.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at East Potomac Maintenance Yard located at 1100 Buckeye Drive SW in Washington DC.
