Background
The United States Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Denver Service Center, has issued a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for market research purposes. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge regarding the type of interested businesses and their qualifications. The NPS anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for the requirement and will use information obtained through this notice to develop an acquisition strategy. No proposal package, solicitation, specification, or drawings are available with this notice.

Work Details
The project is located at Colonial National Historical Park in Williamsburg, Virginia. The construction magnitude is $5,000,000 - $10,000,000. The construction tasks include repairing the Jones Mill Pond Dam at the Colonial National Historical Parkway. This involves dewatering the pond, demolishing and replacing the historic concrete parkway across the dam, excavating the top level of dam, installing articulated concrete matting for stabilization, extending toe of the dam, extensive work to lessen pitch of dam face, drainage improvements, stabilizing pond and outfall, clearing and repairing underwater overflow (possible diving), repair of historic brick outfall structure, and wetland work area.

The project also requires coordination with major detours and major construction immediately adjacent by others.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is 548 calendar days including any potential weather shutdowns. There are seasonal/other shutdowns mandated through the construction season. Winter construction may be required.

Place of Performance
The construction site is approximately 5 miles from nearest suppliers and lodging facilities. The surrounding area is urban with staging limited to mostly the parking lot adjacent to the dam as there is directly adjacent construction. The Park will remain open during construction.
