COLO 200920, Jones Mill Pond Dam and Colonial Parkway Repairs and Improvements   3

Background
The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), Denver Service Center (DSC), is soliciting proposals on a total small business set‐aside basis per from all interested businesses having the capability to perform the work described. The purpose of this project is to repair the Jones Mill Pond Dam at the Colonial National Historical Parkway, Williamsburg, Virginia (COLO 200920). The dam repair is approximately 90% of the work. Dewater the pond, demolish and replace the historic concrete parkway across the dam, excavate the top level of dam, install articulated concrete matting for stabilization, extend toe of the dam, extensive work to lessen pitch of dam face, drainage improvements, stabilize pond and outfall, clear and repair underwater overflow (possible diving), repair of historic brick outfall structure, revelation to include wetland work area are all additional tasks. Coordinate major detours and major construction immediately adjacent by others will be another function of the project which is complex.

Work Details
It is anticipated that a negotiated firm‐fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and price proposal. The government will consider an offeror’s technical capability in comparison to its price. Estimated Price Range: Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
