Bradbury Dam Outlet Valve Replacement   3

Background
The Bureau of Reclamation, specifically the California Great Basin Region, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed-price construction contract aimed at replacing the existing 30-inch valves at Bradbury Dam. This project is intended to enhance the operation and efficiency of water releases within the outlet works. The procurement is designated for Total Small Business concerns, with an estimated project cost ranging from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.

Work Details
The principal components of work include:

1. Electrical inspection, design, and installation:
a. Inspecting the power system;
b. Completing electrical design based on provided baseline and inspection results and providing signed documentation by a U.S. registered Electrical Engineer;
c. Performing demolition and installation of electrical equipment including panels, fuses, conduit, and conductors.

2. Removing two existing fixed-cone valves along with peripheral equipment such as valve supports including anchors, pipe spool piece, valve actuators, and associated conductors, cables, and conduit.

3. Designing two valve supports for new fixed-cone valves with designs stamped by a California-registered Professional Engineer (PE).

4. Furnishing, installing, and testing two fixed-cone valves with hoods and additional peripheral equipment including butterfly valves, reducers or valve supports grouted and anchored to concrete, valve actuators, and associated conductors, cables, conduit and grounding.

5. Providing a temporary pump to supply water from Lake Cachuma to Bradbury Dam Spillway during the Outlet Works Outage.

Place of Performance
Bradbury Dam located approximately 20 miles northwest of Santa Barbara, California in Santa Barbara County.
