Boston NHP - Paint Interior of Bunker Hill Lodge

Background
The National Park Service, Contracting Operations East, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office, issues this Request for Proposal (RFP) for a construction requirement at Boston National Historical Park in Charlestown, Massachusetts. The goal of the contract is to repaint the interior of the Bunker Hill Lodge, ensuring preservation and maintenance of this historic site. The estimated magnitude of the complete requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000.

Work Details
The work includes furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, access, and supervision required to repaint the interior of the Bunker Hill Lodge. Specific tasks include:

- Setting up and taking down temporary control measures to protect interior objects;
- Erecting scaffolding;
- Conducting moisture testing of substrates;
- Surface preparation such as scraping, sanding, cleaning, and patching;
- Applying pre-treatments, sealers, primers, and finish paints by brush or roller (1 coat);
- Applying final finish paint by brush and roller (2 coats).

The total area to be painted is approximately 3,500 square feet across all first-floor rooms except for two small storage closets. The contractor must comply with Massachusetts Lead Poisoning Prevention regulations and OSHA safety standards.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from April 1, 2025 to April 13, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Boston National Historical Park located in Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, MA.
