Background
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Great Plains Region aims to support tribes in exercising their governmental rights through self-determination contracting and self-governance compacting.

The MATOC is established to facilitate construction projects across the Great Plains Region, including Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, and potentially other areas.

Work Details
The contract involves design/build, performance-based construction, design-bid-build, and modular/offsite design-build contracts for general construction, renovations, demolition, environmental and hazardous material remediation alterations.

Facilities involved include education buildings, law enforcement and detention facilities, fire stations, staff housing, and general administration buildings.

Site-specific work includes utilities site distribution systems, domestic water treatment facilities, sewage treatment, water storage and distribution. Renovation services may include minor renovations, major systems replacement, energy efficiency upgrades, and hazardous material abatement.

Contractors may need to provide stamped drawings or sketches for new construction and obtain necessary permits. Off-site construction is preferred when time or cost savings are crucial.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is one base year from the date of award with four one-year option periods.

Place of Performance
Projects will be performed across the Great Plains Region including Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota.
