Background
The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Region 10 - California-Great Basin Region Acquisitions Office, Sacramento, CA intends to issue a solicitation for the Arroyo Canal Fish Screen/Sack Dam Fish Passage Project. This project aims to enhance fish passage and ecological health in the San Joaquin River area.

Work Details
The principal components of work include:
- In-river work requiring dewatering and cofferdam contractor designs and installations using methods such as sheet piling and/or embankment construction. Water deliveries must be maintained throughout construction.

- Installation of closed-ended steel pipe piles and sheet piles beneath concrete slab foundations.

- Construction of concrete headwork structures with associated gates with actuators, decking with guardrail, earthwork, upstream and downstream channel improvements, retaining walls, and a river rock-lined fish ramp.

- Development of a concrete fish ladder with baffles.

- Construction of earthen berms with riprap slope protection and gated gravel roadways on the crest.

- Installation of a mechanically stabilized earth wall for riverbank stabilization.

- Construction of a fish screen equipped with a screen cleaner, monorail, electrical outlets, and an air burst system.

- Development of a maintenance building with a gravel yard, security fencing, engine generator set with diesel fuel tank, compressor, HVAC system, plumbing, power access roadway.

- Implementation of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control, monitoring, and automation system for Sack Dam Fish Passage and associated features.

- Provision of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for approval and installation/maintenance of all storm water pollution prevention measures as indicated in the approved SWPPP.

Period of Performance
The performance period is estimated to be three (3) years to complete.

Place of Performance
The place of performance is located at Sack Dam on the San Joaquin River, approximately 24 miles west of Madera, California in Madera and Fresno Counties.
