Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is seeking a licensed electrician to address various electrical issues at the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge in Bethel, Alaska. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and functionality of electrical systems in multiple residential structures used by FWS employees. The work includes installing GFCI protection, ensuring smoke detectors are properly installed, and conducting general electrical inspections.

Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks:

1. Install GFCI protection for laundry rooms across nine residences, ensuring compliance with electrical codes.

2. Install 50 amp GFCI double pole breakers for garage receptacles in two residences.

3. Install a backup power throw-over switch for a boiler system in a duplex structure, including all necessary wiring and coordination with local power companies.

4. Move electrical supply from one meter to another for an external garage.

5. Ensure smoke detectors are AC powered and interconnected, replacing existing battery-operated units where necessary.

6. Conduct a general walkthrough of all residences to assess electrical health and safety, providing quotes for any additional repairs needed after approval.

Period of Performance
Work shall commence within 10 calendar days after award and is expected to be completed by September 30, 2026.
