Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration is issuing this solicitation for the Gravesite Expansion project at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
The project aims to enhance the cemetery's capacity and improve its facilities in alignment with the agency's mission to honor veterans and their families by providing dignified burial services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for general construction tasks including:
1. Installation of a 4,560-niche columbarium to replace existing traditional burial types in Section 19, featuring natural stone veneer.
2. Development of 3,518 gravesites in Section 38.
3. Cemetery improvements including clearing, grubbing, grading, walkways, plantings, irrigation systems, site furnishings, and signage within the expansion areas.
4. Adjustments to irrigation systems in developed areas (Sections 38 and 19) to ensure adequate watering of landscaping and flower watering stations.
All work must adhere to National Cemetery Administration standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 270 calendar days from the issuance of the notice-to-proceed.
