Description

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a solicitation for the construction and expansion of the Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The goal of this contract is to enhance the cemetery's facilities to better serve veterans and their families, aligning with the agency's mission to honor and provide for those who have served in the military.

Work Details
The scope of work includes various construction tasks as outlined in the Statement of Work. Key tasks involve:
- Demolition and site clearing as per Division 02 specifications.
- Construction of cast-in-place concrete structures and precast concrete columbarium units as specified in Division 03.
- Masonry work including mortaring, grouting, tuck pointing, unit masonry, stone masonry, and installation of columbarium niche covers as detailed in Division 04.
- Installation of thermal and moisture protection systems as per Division 07.
