Background
The Overton Brooks Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking to complete site preparation for the construction of a new Fisher House, which will provide temporary lodging for families of veterans receiving medical care.

The project aims to enhance the facility's support services by providing a comfortable and accessible environment for families during their loved ones' treatment.

Work Details
The contractor is required to perform various construction tasks including:
- Clearing and grubbing trees and vegetation
- Demolishing and removing the existing water trough
- Constructing a new headwall with reinforced concrete pipe (RCP)
- Running RCP according to the provided drawings
- Providing rip rap stabilization as specified
- Removing a power pole and running utilities underground
- Excavating necessary areas
- Tying into existing electrical, sewer, water, and gas utilities
- Running cable for the VA’s monitoring system
- Installing a transformer with a mount pad
- Providing a clean construction vehicle entrance for site access
- Filling the site with suitable material to meet compaction needs
- Compacting fill to specified requirements
- Grading fill to ensure proper water drainage away from the building base.

The construction must adhere to all relevant specifications and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract includes a pre-construction period of 30 days during which specific deliverables must be provided.

Following this period, all required work and tests must be completed within 240 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will take place at the Overton Brooks VAMC facility.
