Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build (DBB) EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Construction project at the Temple, TX Olin E. Teague VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive Temple, Texas 76504. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is the construction and commissioning of the infrastructure needed for the nationally mandated Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) project at the Olin E. Teague VAMC located in Temple, TX. Construction and commissioning will be in accordance with the A/E provided final drawing set and associated specifications. This project will include but not limited to the following infrastructure improvements: general construction, demolition, alterations, necessary removal and/or modifications of existing structures and construction, patching, finishing work, and certain other items. Mechanical work will include: installation of new split system air conditioning units, modifications to existing DDC controls, and setup, programming, and adjustment of new & modified system. Electrical system work will include: material, equipment and supervision to perform the required electrical and telecommunications systems. Construction work will include: providing new power connections for new mechanical equipment, provide new power connections for MDF/IDF rack locations and providing new UPS units for MDF/IDF locations. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $45 million. The solicitation will be issued mid to late May 2024. The period of performance is approximately 547 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
