Background
The Calverton National Cemetery, located in Suffolk County, New York, was established in 1978 and is the third national cemetery on Long Island. The cemetery serves as a final resting place for service members, veterans, and their families.

The goal of this contract is to carry out repairs and improvements to Columbarium H, I, J, K, L, M as part of the Department of Veterans Affairs' commitment to maintaining the dignity and respect of these sacred grounds.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all tools, labor, materials, equipment, and professional supervision necessary for the construction project. Specific tasks include:

- Repairs and improvements to Columbarium sections H through M;
- Enhancements to the Committal Shelter;
- Improvements to the Assembly Area;
- Upgrades to the Administration Building.

All work must adhere to the Statement of Work (SOW), specifications, and drawings provided. Special care must be taken during construction to respect the remains buried at the cemetery, including strict protocols for handling headstones and grave markers.
