Background
The James A. Haley Veterans Medical Center is seeking to improve its water supply system due to inadequate storage and pressure from the existing infrastructure. The project aims to install a new main water well and an elevated water tower to enhance overall reliability and performance of the water system.

The City of Tampa currently supplies water through three connections, but the existing systems are insufficient for current needs, necessitating this upgrade.

Work Details
The work includes general construction tasks such as:
- Demolishing the existing aged water tower (150,000 gallons) and well.
- Constructing a new elevated water tower (1,000,000 gallons).
- Installing a new well.
- Implementing a chlorination system for disinfection of well water.

Additional tasks involve grading, drainage, paving, installation of water mains, elevated tank booster pumps fed by new pipes from the City of Tampa service connections, and ensuring no interruption of service during construction. All work must adhere to the attached Statement of Work, Specifications, and Drawings.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 550 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the James A. Haley Medical Center in Tampa.
