Project 621-20-107 Renovate Bldg.-200_Wing D2 for Isolation Ward   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking construction services to renovate Building 200, Wing D2 for an isolation ward at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, Tennessee. The project is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns under Public Law 109-461. The small business size standard is $45M, and the project magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00.

Work Details
The contractor is required to prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials for the renovation of approximately 12,000 sq. ft of existing space on the Second Floor D-Wing (D2) of Building 200. The space is to be renovated into a healthcare occupancy isolation ward to house twelve patients within universal rooms allowing for critical, step-down, and acute care to be delivered/administered in the same room.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is 480 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP).
