Description

INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build to Construct Two New Green Homes 7&8 (Minor) Construction project at the VA Illiana Health Care System (VAMC) located at 1900 East Main St. Danville, Il 61832. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and all other resources necessary to construct two new 10-bed, long-term care Green Homes each approximately 12,116 gross square feet per the plans and specifications for Project 550-319, Construct Two New Green Homes 7 & 8. The contractor shall provide a complete project per the provided plans and specifications. The contractor shall be responsible for attaining all necessary permits. The contractor shall be responsible for all Infection Control measures that must be taken to prevent the spread of dust and other construction debris throughout the facility. The contactor shall be responsible for all Interim Life Safety Measures necessary for the completion of the project. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $45.0 million. The solicitation will be issued in late-June of 2024. The period of performance is approximately 546 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
