Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to enhance emergency backup power capabilities at the Salisbury VAMC due to the inadequacy of current temporary backups and an outdated generator.

This project aims to install a new emergency generator station to ensure reliable power supply for critical operations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the installation of an emergency generator station with various construction tasks:

- Site Civil work will involve grading, drainage, and utility improvements including water, sanitary, and electrical systems.
- The building will be approximately 62' x 102' x 24' tall with a tank enclosure yard.
- Structural work will adhere to high impact resistance standards due to the critical nature of the facility.
- The project requires compliance with multiple codes and guidelines including VA PG-18-3 and IBC 2021.
- The foundation design will address unsuitable fill on-site, with options for removal or ground improvement.
- The project also includes commissioning of the generators by a third-party agent to ensure operational readiness.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is set for 420 calendar days from the start date.
