Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for a construction project at the James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. The mission of the VA is to provide high-quality healthcare to veterans, and this project aims to enhance patient movement efficiency within the facility by constructing a new Bed Tower Connector.

The goal is to facilitate better access between the existing surgery area and the new bed tower, thereby improving overall patient care.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, and materials necessary for the following work: demolish the existing ICU and construct a new hallway to connect surgery with the new bed tower according to the attached drawings and specifications.

The work includes:
- demolition of existing walls, finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire protection (FP), and other items necessary to support new work;
- minor asbestos abatement as required;
- construction of new walls;
- installation of interior finishes;
- millwork;
- doors; frames; hardware; mechanical systems; electrical systems; plumbing systems; access control systems; and other related systems.

The project is located at James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33612.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is 390 calendar days after receipt of written Notice to Proceed.
