Background
The contract is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for the renovation of kitchen and nutritional food services space at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia. The goal of the contract is to correct safety and Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) deficiencies in Building 2, enhancing the kitchen and dining areas used to serve patients, thereby improving overall service delivery.

Work Details
The contractor will manage, supervise, and provide all necessary materials, tools, and labor to renovate approximately 30,200 square feet of kitchen and nutritional food services space. Key tasks include:

- Renovating kitchen, dining, food preparation, storage, and serving areas;
- Providing a temporary kitchen;
- Adding a storage room to the Veterans Canteen Service store;
- Remodeling an existing uniform room into offices and retail space;
- Renovating a biohazard processing room into a uniform room;
- Updating equipment;
- Renovating warehouse and logistics areas;
- Creating a distinct path for material transport to prevent interference with kitchen operations.

All work must comply with Federal, State, and local regulations.

Period of Performance
540 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, Dublin, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBC). They are required to provide bid/payment/performance bonds. The prime contractor's Superintendent must have OSHA 30-hour certification while all other contractors must have at least OSHA 10-hour certification. Contractors must submit a construction schedule within 30 days of Notice to Proceed and provide updated schedules with each payment request. A contractor badge from the VA is required for all workers on site.
