The Salisbury VAMC is seeking design-build proposals for the renovation of the fourth floor to the primary care unit in Building 3.

The Salisbury Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking design-build proposals for the renovation of the fourth floor of Building 3, specifically aimed at enhancing the primary care unit.

5. Heavy demolition in Section B (12,465 SF) will involve CMU walls; corridor walls will be treated with laminate drywall.
6. Replacement of existing Fan Coil units with a ducted forced-air system and replacement of Air Handling Units 16-19 as specified.
7. Asbestos abatement for existing flooring and piping materials is required.
8. Trades involved include demolition/asbestos abatement, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, low-voltage systems installation, fire protection measures, life safety systems installation, painting, carpentry, millwork, flooring installation, data systems setup, and physical security enhancements.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this contract is approximately 360 days following the Notice to Proceed (NTP), with significant milestones including proposal submission by June 23, 2026; evaluations by July 16, 2026; contract award by September 8, 2026; and construction completion by September 18, 2027.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the W.G. Hefner Medical Center located in Salisbury, North Carolina.
