Background
The contract is issued by the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) in North Chicago, IL. The mission of the FHCC is to provide high-quality health care to veterans. The goal of this contract is to perform interior demolition and abatement work in Building 1, preparing the space for future redesign and renovations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all tools, materials, labor, quality assurance, and supervision for renovations resulting in a complete, compliant, and fully-functional project. This includes:

- Complete interior demolition and abatement of Building 1 totaling approximately 56,600 square feet.
- Removal of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and telecom systems while maintaining the fire protection system.
- Compliance with all code, technical, and programmatic requirements established by VA.
- Containment measures to ensure safety during demolition.
- Asbestos abatement monitored by a contracted professional.
- Restoration of finishes damaged during work.
- Thorough cleaning using HEPA-filtered vacuums and antibacterial wipes.
- Preparation of a detailed Critical Path Method (CPM) Baseline Schedule for project phases.
- Submission of daily reports including safety inspections and construction progress.
- Adherence to all safety requirements as outlined in the specifications.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will begin after mobilization and will be guided by the project schedule. Specific timelines will be determined based on project needs.
