692-22-105 Renovate space in Buildings 217A and 218A for Mental Health   3

Background
This solicitation is issued by the Network Contracting Office 20 under the Department of Veterans Affairs for a construction project aimed at renovating spaces in Buildings 217A and 218A for Mental Health services.
The project is located at the Veterans Affair's Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics, situated at 8495 Crater Lake Highway, White City, OR 97503.
The goal of this contract is to provide necessary renovations to enhance mental health services for veterans.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all material, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the renovation of approximately 11,500 gross square feet (gsf) in buildings 217A and 218A.
Specific tasks include:
1) Compliance with all requirements detailed in the attachments including drawings and specifications.
2) Renovation of building 217A followed by a period allowing the VA to move into B217A before commencing renovations on building 218A.
3) Submission of a detailed chiller replacement action plan that affects both buildings; this replacement must occur during months where average daily temperatures do not exceed 68 degrees over any 15-day period.
4) Implementation of two-hour rated fire walls or a 24-hour fire watch when fire suppression or alarm systems are disabled for longer than eight hours.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period will begin upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the solicitation documents.
