Background
The Montrose VA Medical Center is seeking to relocate and upgrade its existing radiology department, which no longer meets patient care needs. The goal of this contract is to expand the radiology suite to accommodate modern equipment and improve patient services for both inpatient and outpatient veterans.

Work Details
The scope of work includes complete renovation of approximately 1,720 square feet on the ground level into a new Radiology Suite. Tasks include:
- demolition and installation of waiting areas
- sub-waiting areas
- x-ray rooms
- ultrasound rooms
- technician’s rooms
- control rooms
- toilet rooms
- storage rooms
- an electrical room
- an exterior generator.

Additionally, the project involves the replacement of roofing above stair 5 and the existing emergency generator along with ancillary equipment as indicated in the construction documents. All work must comply with VA specifications and standards as well as applicable federal, state, and local codes. Installation disciplines encompass architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection (including removal and replacement of the sprinkler system), civil and structural work necessary for operational readiness.

Period of Performance
540 days from award for design; construction period will also be 540 calendar days from Notice To Proceed (NTP).
