Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the construction of a Specialty Care Building at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Manchester, New Hampshire. The goal of this contract is to provide a facility that meets the healthcare needs of veterans, enhancing their access to specialized medical services. This project is categorized as a minor project under the VA's construction program.

Work Details
The contractor is required to perform comprehensive construction tasks including but not limited to: general construction, concrete work, structural steel installation, ceiling and casework installation, carpentry, partitioning, door and window installations, exterior cladding (brick, metal panel, curtain wall), roofing, mechanical systems installation (HVAC), electrical work, plumbing, fire protection systems, telephone and data cabling, security systems installation, site utilities work, landscaping and other related tasks as outlined in the Technical Specifications and Drawings.

Specific line items include base work for the Specialty Care Building and various deducts which involve modifications or omissions of certain features such as relocating existing transformers or omitting specific systems like nurse call systems.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is set at seven hundred thirty (730) calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Some deduct items may have a slightly shorter performance period of seven hundred fifteen (715) calendar days.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Manchester, New Hampshire.
