Background
The contract is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, aimed at renovating the inpatient mental health facilities to enhance the quality of care provided to veterans.

Work Details
The work includes general construction and alterations, including but not limited to: roads, walks, grading, drainage, roofing, roof patching, mechanical and electrical work, necessary removal of existing structures, and installation of interior finishes as specified in the drawings.

The base bid encompasses all these tasks with potential deductive alternates for specific items such as ceiling-mounted LED fixtures, digital aquarium fixtures, remote plumbing fixtures, streaming audio systems, stone veneer and electric fireplaces, framed decorative panel systems, tray ceilings in designated rooms, resin panels for impact-resistant wall coverings, and construction elements associated with room 6D-155. Each alternate item specifies modifications to the base bid work.

Period of Performance
The total project duration is 245 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.

Bidder Requirements
