Y1DA - Provide Utility Services Across Kirman Avenue   2

Background
The contract is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System Ioannis A. Lougaris Medical Center located in Reno, Nevada.

The mission of the VA is to provide high-quality healthcare services to veterans. The goal of this contract is to provide new utility services at the VAMC facility, ensuring that all work conforms to federal, state, and local requirements.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision required to complete construction tasks including:
- Installation of new utility services across Kirman Avenue, including chilled water lines and steam/condensate return lines.
- Construction of a concrete utility trench and access vaults.
- Connections to existing infrastructure services at the Boiler Plant and other buildings on the VAMC campus.
- Preservation and protection of existing public and VA-owned infrastructure during construction.
- Coordination with local agencies for traffic control plans ensuring continuous accessible pedestrian routes and motor vehicle traffic routes.
- Excavation and disposal of contaminated soils and an abandoned oil storage tank, adhering to environmental safety regulations.
- Maintenance of one motor vehicle travel lane and one adjacent pedestrian sidewalk along Kirman Avenue open for normal use throughout construction.

Period of Performance
The work is intended to be completed within 580 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System Ioannis A. Lougaris Medical Center located at 975 Kirman Avenue, Reno, Nevada 89512.
