PROJECT TITLE: Bid-Build (B/B) Improve Lake Baldwin Electrical Distribution PROJECT NUMBER: 675-23-801 PROJECT SUMMARY: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (OVAHCS), is seeking professional construction services to construct the project titled Improve Lake Baldwin Electrical Distribution at the OVAHCS, Lake Baldwin Campus, 5201 Raymond Street, Orlando, FL 32803 and Lakemont Campus, 2500 S. Lakemont Avenue, Orlando, FL 32814. The contractor shall furnish all construction services including labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision as necessary to construct the project described herein and other specified tasks as further defined in the Statement of Work (SOW). The construction shall be in accordance with the 100% design drawings and specifications for this project. Refer to attachments for further details. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 270 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). PERFORMANCE LOCATION: Orlando Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (OVAHCS), located at Lake Baldwin Facility. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $1,000,000.00 and $4,000,000.00. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (OVAHCS), is issuing this solicitation for professional construction services to improve the electrical distribution at the Lake Baldwin and Lakemont campuses in Orlando, Florida.

The project aims to address specific electrical deficiencies identified in a Facility Condition Assessment, ensuring reliable power distribution for the healthcare system's operations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary construction services including labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision to complete the project as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).

Key tasks include:
1. Replace the tiebreaker within Building 500’s Switchboards 2 and 3 to prevent unnecessary outages during generator operation.
2. Add a disconnecting means at the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) south utility feeder to allow for safe disconnection of power.
3. Replace a transformer in front of Building 3130 and relocate overhead power lines underground to prevent outages caused by vehicle interference.
4. Replace the transformer between Building 504 and 502 and provide emergency generator-backed power to Building 504.
