Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the Dental Expansion and Relocation project at the Northern California Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) located on Travis Air Force Base, California.

The goal of this contract is to enhance dental services by expanding and relocating existing facilities to better serve veterans in the region.

Work Details
The scope of work includes general construction, electrical work, mechanical and plumbing work.

Specific tasks include:
1) General Construction: All work necessary for the base bid including site preparation, structural modifications, and interior finishes.
2) Electrical Work: Installation of electrical systems as per specifications.
3) Mechanical and Plumbing Work: Installation of HVAC systems and plumbing fixtures as required.

Additionally, there are several deduction alternates that may be awarded at the discretion of the VA, which involve removing specific elements such as exterior sunshades, mechanical screens, porticos, sidewalks, and interior finishes in designated rooms. Each line item must be priced as a lump sum.
