Description

INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract to Expand and Renovate B404 for Outpatient Mental Health (Minor) Construction project at the Tomah VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 500 East Veterans Street Tomah, WI 54660. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, qualified supervision, overtime, and other items designated in the specifications and as shown on the drawings for the expansion and renovation of B404. The Contractor shall verify all existing dimensions and conditions. The route of all buried utility lines and their route shall be clearly delineated prior to and during the construction activity. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $45.0 million. The solicitation will be issued in June of 2023. The period of performance is approximately 580 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
