PROJECT TITLE: BB Convert 6 West to Private Patient Rooms

PROJECT NUMBER: 673-21-149

This amendment contains the following changes:

  1. The proposal due date is now 03/11/2025 at 2:00PM.
  2. Provide answer to RFI questions, revised drawings, revised specifications, CCTV Riser diagram and VA Tampa Interior Sign System.
  3. There are no bid deducts, the price proposals need to come with two line items CLIN 002 should be patient lift equipment purchase only, everything else should be CLIN 001. Please see the Price and schedule table.
  4. Proposals email to david.hernandez1@va.gov
  5. Remember to submit separate proposals for price and technical aspects.

Background
The contract is issued by the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital, which is part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The mission of the agency is to provide high-quality healthcare to veterans. The goal of this contract is to renovate the 6th floor west wing of Building One at the hospital, converting it into private patient rooms as per the provided drawings and specifications.

Work Details
The scope of work includes complete demolition and remodel of an inpatient wing. This involves:
- Demolition of existing walls, finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire protection (FP), and other items to support new work.
- Minor asbestos abatement as deemed necessary by the asbestos report.
- New construction including new walls, interior finishes, millwork, doors, frames, hardware, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, structural elements, access control systems, and other related systems.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 420 days after notice to proceed.
