Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Construction project at the Kansas City VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 4801 Linwood Blvd Kansas City, MO 64128. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Kansas City VAMC is seeking a general contractor to completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work to upgrade and improve the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) infrastructure of the Kansas City VA Medical Center (KCVAMC) campus in Kansas City, Missouri, as part of the ongoing national VA EHRM initiative.TR design includes renovations of existing TRs, as well as relocations, expansions, and creation of new TRs. A TR tower will be constructed to the exterior of building 15, floors, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The TR rooms will be built on the project north of the building reflecting all requirements necessary for a TR space. A total of 1325 square feet will be added to the exterior of the building divided among these floors in the addition of the new TR spaces. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued in late August of 2023. The period of performance is approximately 960 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
