Solicitation 36C26026R0011 - 668-22-104 Replace Windows Building 1
Background
The Veterans Affairs (VA) Spokane Healthcare System is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of windows in Building 1 at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center located in Spokane, WA.

The goal of this contract is to provide necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services to replace existing pre-1990 exterior windows in the main hospital building, which consists of nine occupied floors and additional mechanical and elevator spaces. This procurement is set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for replacing existing pre-1990 exterior windows in Building 1. This includes:
1. Providing all supervision, labor, tools, materials, installation, and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) documentation.
2. A one-year warranty on materials and installation as per project specifications.
3. Conducting asbestos and lead paint abatement as necessary.
4. Performing field verification to ensure all equipment, parts, and materials are identified and existing conditions are verified prior to installation.
5. Installing new materials according to Manufacturer’s Installation instructions.
6. The contractor will take ownership of the removed existing windows and associated components.
7. Proper disposal of construction debris and hazardous materials must comply with VA Infection Control Procedures and Environmental Protection Procedures.
8. The work must be phased to minimize disruption to hospital operations.
