INTRODUCTION/STATEMENT OF WORK You are invited to submit a quotation in response to this solicitation titled, 663-20-102 Renovate and Modernize Seattle Sterile Processing Service in B100 Basement Upgrade SPS Seattle VA . This project will renovate the existing Sterile Processing Service to increase functionality and provide a modernized SPS. The project will correct noted facility deficiencies as well as improve efficiency for the SPS service line and associated ancillary spaces in the basement of Building 100, in addition the contractors will be providing the SPS team a temporary Sterilization Processing Service trailer for the duration site work at the VAPSHCS Seattle Campus at all construction phases. Refer to the attached Statement of Work and drawings. GENERAL INFORMATION All questions and requests for information (RFI) shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist through email. Questions will be accepted up to 07/20/2023, 1400 PDT. The government is not obligated to answer any questions submitted after this date. Inquires received using any other method of communication will not be answered. All emails for questions and RFIs shall use the subject line follows: RFI 36C26023Q0536; 663-20-102 Upgrade SPS Unless otherwise stated, the contracting office POC listed below is the sole point of contact for this acquisition: Dennis Einarson Contract Specialist E-mail: dennis.einarson@va.gov The solicitation may be amended in accordance with FAR 15.206. All information and instruction regarding such amendments will be published to Contract Opportunities website. Any communication not released in an amendment shall not be binding. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to check the Contract Opportunities website for updates and amendments. This solicitation does not commit the Government to pay any costs incurred in preparation and submission of initial and subsequent offers or for any other costs incurred prior to award of a contract. The offeror will not be participating in a sealed bid procurement process under this procurement. Issuance of this SOLICITATION does not constitute an award or any commitment on the part of the Government.
Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Puget Sound Healthcare System (VAPSHCS) requires the services of a contractor to provide all necessary supervision, services, tools, labor, materials and equipment to completely prepare project areas for construction operations, including selective demolition and removal of existing materials, and furnishing all necessary tools, equipment, labor, materials, temporary equipment and items, specialty services, supervision, and performing all work to renovate the existing Sterile Processing Service (SPS) and ancillary spaces in the basement of Building 100. In addition to providing SPS temporary trailers and supporting sitework at the VAPSHCS Seattle Campus.

Work Details
The project will renovate the existing Sterile Processing Service to increase functionality and provide a modernized SPS. The project will correct noted facility deficiencies as well as improve efficiency for the SPS service line and associated ancillary spaces in the basement of Building 100. The contractors will be providing the SPS team a temporary Sterilization Processing Service trailer for the duration site work at the VAPSHCS Seattle Campus at all construction phases.

All work indicated on the drawings and specifications should be considered. The renovation activities will take place at a busy Medical Center without interfering with existing, on-going functions or normal activity of the hospital. The total period of performance is 410 calendar days.
