Background
The solicitation is for the renovation of the Med/Surg Inpatient Unit 2B at the Fayetteville, Arkansas campus of the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Building 1. The work must adhere to JCAHO, NFPA, OSHA, and life safety requirements and be performed without affecting medical center operations. The renovation will incorporate Planetree principles, VA SEPS, and comply with all VA, National, State, and Local codes.

Work Details
The renovation project includes a complete demolition and renovation of approximately 13,781 square feet. This encompasses the installation of an isolation and anteroom, private patient room and bathrooms, Bariatric room, inpatient unit support spaces, new lights, ceilings, floors, doors and hardware, paint, handrails, cove base, wall protection, millwork, finishes, bedside computers, TVs, nurse call system, MEP systems.

The project also involves phasing plans and coordination drawings and commissioning of all renovated systems. Additionally, the contractor must provide two shipping containers on site for storage of displaced items during construction.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is 420 continuous calendar days.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Fayetteville campus of the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Building 1.
