Background
The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 8, North Florida / South Georgia Veterans System, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO8) has a requirement for construction services for the project titled 'Renovate Common Area Restrooms.'

This project aims to renovate the existing public restrooms throughout the Basement and First Floor of Building 1, E-Wing and ACA, as well as the First Floor of Building 12 at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. The VA provides medical care for United States Veterans, and this renovation is part of their commitment to maintaining high standards in their facilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes Environmental, Architectural/Interior Design, Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) renovations of the existing public restrooms.

The contractor is responsible for site preparation including demolition and removal of existing structures. They must furnish labor and materials necessary to complete the work as per the provided drawings and specifications. Specific tasks include:
1. Complete renovation of common area restrooms on specified floors.
2. Abatement of hazardous materials during demolition.
3. Compliance with VA guidelines for renovated restrooms.
4. Implementation of Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) during construction.
5. Conducting documented site inspections prior to renovation to mitigate unforeseen issues.
6. Ensuring all work complies with applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations including OSHA standards.

Period of Performance
730 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
