Background

The goal of this contract is to modernize and enhance the facilities to improve healthcare delivery and operational efficiency within the VA system.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the design and construction of a renovated Interventional Radiology Suite. Key tasks involve:
- Comprehensive design-build services to ensure seamless integration with existing hospital operations.
- Phasing plans that guarantee uninterrupted medical center operations, including maintaining utilities and access to parking during construction.
- Site management strategies that address site preparations and planned construction methods, ensuring physical connections from the new structure to existing facilities are effectively managed.
- Handling necessary utility shut-downs, relocations, or new connections throughout the construction phases.
- Implementation of quality control management solutions and safety management protocols tailored for a hospital environment.
- Experience in large-scale demolition, removal of radioactive equipment, installation of high-tech equipment, and adherence to safety and infection control precautions.
