Scope of Amendment: The purpose of Amendment 005 to RFP 36C77623R0138 is to provide an updated copy of Specifications Section 23 31 00 HVAC DUCTS AND CASINGS, as Attachment 17, which was provided by the A/E in response to technical question number 39.

The Amendment also provides the most up to date version of Davis-Bacon wage rates for Johnson County, Iowa, in the form of Attachment 6 Updates 02122024 Davis Bacon Wage Rates Johnson County.

Additional clarification has been added to Attachment 12 Technical Questions and Answers regarding the Bid Alternates, and the requirement to use Attachment 11 Division Breakdown Pricing Sheet remains, as stated in response to Technical question 35. All other terms and conditions remain the same.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing a solicitation for a minor construction project to relocate the Women's Health and Specialty Clinics for Building 50 at the Iowa City VA Medical Center. The project is a competitive Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, tools, supplies, and equipment as required by the specifications and drawings to complete the scope of work. The current funding available for this minor construction procurement is $15,513,572.00.

Work Details
The work includes minor demolitions, construction of walls, ceilings, roofs, floors, general construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection/suppression, controls, and telecom. All work ties in to the previous building creating a complete and usable space. The contractor shall complete the entire project no later than 639 calendar days after receiving the NOTICE TO PROCEED.

The location of the project is at the Iowa City VA Medical Center located at 601 US-6 W, Iowa City, IA 52246.
