Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the construction of a new Sterile Processing Service addition as part of its mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to veterans.

The goal of this contract is to enhance the VA's facilities, ensuring they meet modern healthcare standards and improve operational efficiency in sterile processing.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes general construction and alterations necessary for the construction of a new sterile processing service addition.

Specific tasks include:
- Demolition of existing structures
- Grading
- Drainage
- Installation of new utilities

The contractor will also be responsible for relocating existing utilities, site utilities, civil works, landscape architecture, structural work, mechanical systems, plumbing, fire protection systems, electrical installations, and telecommunications infrastructure. All work must be completed within 545 calendar days from the notice to proceed.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period not exceeding 545 calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will take place at the VA facility located in Omaha, Nebraska.
